Long-term viability priority for State Highway 1 repair

Monday's earthquake decimated large sections of State Highway 1 in the South Island.

Getting the road between Blenheim and Christchurch back in action is a job that'll take months and must be done right to ensure long-term viability for a major transport, freight and tourism route.

Transport Minister Simon Bridges spoke to Paul Henry about the extensive work required.
