A Christchurch man has been taken to hospital on Tuesday mornng with a gunshot wound.
The 30-year-old walked into the service station after being shot at a nearby address.
Emergency services say they were called to a petrol station near the corner of Matipo Street and Blenhiem Road around 5:20am.
Police are working with the victim - who is in a stable condition in hospital - to piece together exactly what has happened, but believe this is an isolated incident.
