One person has been rescued from a stolen vehicle after being trapped with serious injuries after a police chase in south Auckland.
The pursuit began in Manurewa at around 6:30pm tonight after the driver of a stolen car failed to stop, police say.
The chase lasted just more than five minutes and ended on the Puhinui Road on-ramp, when the car crashed.
The on-ramp is closed while police and emergency services attend.
The serious crash unit have also been notified, and the incident will now be referred to the Independent Police Conduct Authority.
