Relief efforts continue in Kaikoura

Takahanga Marae has opened its doors to stranded tourists following Monday's magnitude 7.5 quake which destroyed roads and brought devastation to the region.

The HMNZS Canterbury arrived on Wednesday morning to help evacuate remaining tourists and bring in supplies.

So far, more than 100 people have been evacuated, while essential aid has been flown in.
