Small town calling on NZ to help fix quake-damaged pool

There is a call for the whole country to dress in mufti next Wednesday to raise money for the rebuild of an earthquake damaged swimming pool in the tiny township of Waiau.

The swimming pool is the watering hole of the small town and the whole community hangs out there.

A Waiau old boy, Verdon Kelliher is now living in Auckland and he's on a mission to get it fixed.
