Elderly man arrested after allegedly shoving flight attendant in Queenstown

An Air New Zealand flight was delayed after a passenger allegedly assaulted a flight attendant while the flight was boarding.

Police were called at the request of a domestic flight at 5:10pm on Friday where a 75-year-old man was arrested.

Air NZ says the incident happened as customers were boarding flight NZ648 to Auckland in Queenstown on Friday.

A police spokesman says the man was charged with common assault, and was given a a pre-charge warning.
