A 40-year-old Dunedin man has been arrested after a spate of suspicious fires in the city overnight.
Fire crews were called to Di Lusso bar, on the ground level of the 107-year-old Allbell Chambers building, around 4am.

The Allbell Chambers is a category two historic building, constructed in 1909.
Four fire trucks were called to the blaze and managed to bring it under control.

There were also fires near the Cadbury factory on Cumberland St and at a flat in Cargill St.
The man was caught at the scene of one of the fires.
