The New Zealand Motor Caravan Association has put the call out to its members to put Kaikōura on their summer travel list.
State Highway 1 south of Kaikōura has re-opened after last month's quake and local businesses are desperate for tourists to return.
The certified self-contained vehicles will put no added strain on Kaikōura's water and waste facilities.
The association says the Kaikōura motor camps have re-opened and are keen for visitors.
