Police have arrested a man following an alleged indecent assault on a woman outside at a Hastings primary school on Wednesday morning.
The alleged incident happened around 8am at Flaxmere Primary School as children were arriving for class.
After speaking to witnesses, police were able to arrest the 20-year-old man and will be charged with attempted sexual violation. He will appear in Hastings District Court on Monday on December 12.
Flaxmere Primary principal Robin Isaacson said police reviewed security footage and the pupils weren't in danger at the time.
Police wouldn't comment further as the case is before the court.
