A man who allegedly pointed a gun at a police officer in Auckland's Three Kings this week has been arrested and charged.
Police launched a manhunt on Wednesday for Hayden Rizvi, 25, after they say he ran from police and pointed a firearm at an officer's face, before fleeing over a fence.
The officer was shaken but uninjured.
Rizvi was arrested on Thursday after being found at a fast-food outlet in Epsom.
He has since been charged with using a firearm against a law enforcement officer and a range of driving charges.
He has 15 warrants for his arrest outstanding over a range of serious offences.
Rizvi will appear in the Auckland District Court on Friday.
