Police say the death of a person in the west Auckland suburb of Te Atatu South was not suspicious.
Police have identified the man, and are informing his next-of-kin.
They were called to a property at 6:25am on Tuesday, where they found a body on the footpath near a bus stop.
An area on the corner of Te Atatu Road and Royal View Road was cordoned off, before police put the body in a bag and took it away for forensic testing.
The bus stop is on a very busy section of Te Atatu road that ferries traffic to and from Auckland's Northwestern motorway.
