Ex All Whites international Chris Killen has been charged with sexual assault relating to an alleged incident at his former home in England.

The 35-year-old has pleaded not guilty to allegations he touched a woman without her consent at his former mansion in Stockport.

He is due to face trial at a Manchester court on June 16, the Manchester Evening News reported. The trial is expected to take three days.

The Sun newspaper said Killen is accused of touching the woman while she slept, shortly before 5:50am on September 17.

The ex footballer was later arrested at his home in nearby Adlington, where he lived with his wife Hannah.

Killen represented New Zealand on 40 occasions between 2000 and 2013, featuring heavily during their FIFA World Cup campaign in 2010.

The Wellingtonian had stints with English clubs Manchester City, Oldham Athletic, and Middlesborough before rounding out his career in China in 2013.
