Two people have been killed in a serious truck crash on State Highway 2 in Hawke's Bay.
Emergency services were called to reports of a single truck leaving the road north of Norsewood at about 12.30am on Monday.
NZTA says the road has been closed today between Norsewood and Takapau, and a 15-minute diversion has been put in place in both directions while the serious crash unit investigates.
The NZTA advises southbound drivers travel down Snee Rd, turning on to Ellison Rd, Jens Anderson Rd and then back on to State Highway 2. They advise the same route in the reverse for northbound traffic.
