Fans of Bruce Springsteen have been sprung a surprise while out and about in Auckland this week.
The Boss has been spotted a number of times dining around the city of sails, happily getting photos with fans.
A Canadian fan who is in Auckland for the concert said in a Facebook post: "I am writing this in a state somewhere between euphoria, disbelief and exhaustion.
"I love that guy - I grew up with his music, and I might argue his latest music is even better."
Daryl Knowler also ran into The Boss and couldn't believe his luck.
"Guess who is at the table beside us??? Born in the USA - Bruce Springsteen. The closest to celebrity I have been," he wrote on Facebook.
Springsteen is set to rock out at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday.
