Man suffers serious facial injury in Dunedin airport assault

A man has a serious facial injury after he was assaulted outside Dunedin International Airport on February 10.

The assault happened outside the airport's main doors just before 6am, and he then suffered another attack.

He was assaulted again a short time later near the fire station at the airport, and after this second attack his car was "unlawfully taken".

Police say they have two people in custody in relation to the incident, but want to hear from any witnesses who were in the area at the time.
