Invercargill man Leon Samuels set a new world record yesterday, shearing 605 ewes in 8 hours.
He busted the previous record of 603 set in 2010.
Mr Samuels told Three's The Project team it felt "overwhelming" to get the world record.
"I just grabbed my wife and gave her a big cuddle".
Mr Samuels and his wife planned to have a "bit of KFC" for dinner to celebrate the special occasion.
