Barefoot man who grabbed Napier woman had 'sexual motivation' - police

Police say a man who grabbed a woman from behind while she was walking in Napier has sexual motivations.

They're looking for the man believed to be involved in the incident around 6:30pm on February 24 at the York Avenue side of Anderson Park.

The man allegedly ran up behind her and grabbed her before running across York Ave and Park Rd towards Avondale Rd.

The woman wasn't hurt, but was left shaken by the incident.

The alleged offender's described as a 182cm-tall Caucasian with brown hair in his 20s. He was wearing dark baggy shorts, dark singlet and was barefoot, however was carrying jandals.
