Fire crews from around the Bay of Plenty have battled a significant fire in the Tauranga suburb of Judea, early on Saturday morning.
The blaze is now extinguished. It broke out at the Tauranga Mixed Martial Arts Fight Club off McCord Ave around 5:20am on Saturday. Birch Ave and Koromiko St have been closed.
There were initially fears people were inside the building but a primary search by firefighters didn't find anyone.
Thirteen firetrucks from as far away as Rotorua responded to the incident.
