A group of people have smashed through a Mobil petrol station, stealing a small number of items from the store on Smales Rd in East Tamaki, Auckland.
The petrol station was quickly cloaked in smoke.
The group fled the scene between midnight and 1am on Sunday morning.
Police are continuing to investigate.
