Murder charge over east Auckland woman Chozyn Koroheke's death

A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder over the fatal shooting of east Auckland woman Chozyn Koroheke.

The man handed himself into the Manukau police station on Sunday evening and will appear in the Manukau District Court on Tuesday morning.

Ms Koroheke, 22, was shot dead at close range at a house in Pakuranga on April 4.

During the police investigation into Ms Koroheke's death, police arrested a further five people, three on unrelated matters.

Three men aged 27, 30 and 30 have been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.

Police said they could not rule out the possibility that further charges will be laid.

In addition, a man aged 47 and a woman aged 24 have both been charged with being an accessory after the fact of murder.
