Seven people are injured, one critically, after a crash south of Christchurch on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to a flipped four-wheel-drive SUV on Summit Rd, near Dyers Pass Rd, around 2am.
The serious crash unit is looking into what caused the crash, which was near a 25km/h corner.
All seven occupants of the vehicle have been hospitalised. A police spokeswoman said some have broken bones.
