Twenty-five bands marched along the Wellington waterfront on Friday as part of the New Zealand Brass Band Championships, one of the world's oldest running music competitions.
It kicked off on Wednesday and runs until Sunday in the capital, and features a number of band and solo events.
The first Brass Band Championships were held in the 1800s in Christchurch, and they are held in different cities each year.
This year was the first time ever that the parade had been held at the Wellington waterfront.
