Masterton police are searching for two men following an incident on Third St, in Lansdowne.
Members of the Armed Offenders Squad were deployed following a report of three suspicious-looking males at 1pm.
At the scene they found a vehicle with firearms in it, seizing the guns and taking one man into custody.
Two others are outstanding but police say they're not being considered a threat to public safety.
