Moderate quake rocks eastern North Island

The North Island has been rattled by a moderate earthquake at 6:19pm on Tuesday.

The 4.7 magnitude quake was centred around 15km south-west of Te Kaha, at a depth of 40km.

Hundreds of people in the area have reported feeling moderate to strong shaking, with others reporting light shaking.
