Police are searching for an armed and dangerous man in the South Island.
Michael John Hughes is wanted on a number of theft charges.
The 36-year-old is believed to be travelling the South Island in a stolen Subaru Impreza station wagon, registration number AUP920.
Police warn not to approach Hughes, who has committed offences in Blenheim, Christchurch, Oamaru and Dunedin.
Any sightings should be reported immediately to 111.
