Police believe missing Waikato mum dead

Police have begun a new phase in their search for missing Waikato woman Kim Richmond, who disappeared last year.

The farmer and mother-of-three disappeared from her Arohena home address on the morning of July 31st.

A silver 2014 Ford Ranger ute (registration HKD553) that she was believed to have been in has not been seen again.

Police now believe that she is dead, and say that though there has been an extensive inquiry they still hope to find her.

A police dive squad is undertaking further searches of Lake Arapanui, as part of a new phase in the search for Ms Richmond.

"Though time has quickly slipped away, we are still keen to hear from anyone who has information relating to Kim's disappearance, as we are committed to bringing her family some closure," Det. Snr Sgt Ross Patterson says.

Anyone with more information can contact Te Awamutu Police on 07 872 0100 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
