Two people have been killed in a car crash on a road in Auckland's Dairy Flat early on Saturday morning.
Two cars collided on Dairy Flat Highway between Bawden and Postman roads. Emergency services were notified at 1:10am.
The two killed were inside one of the cars.
The single occupant of the other car was taken to hospital in a serious condition, police say.
Police are identifying the two people killed, and will inform their families.
The road has reopened and the Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
