City-bound commuters are being told to expect delays following a landslip on Evans Bay Parade in Wellington.
A "sizeable" slip was being cleared from the road near Point Jerningham on Friday morning, a Wellington City Council spokesman says.
"Commuters are advised there'll be delays for city-bound traffic on Evans Bay Parade."
Meanwhile, part of Devon Street in Aro Valley remained closed following a slip which led to the evacuation of one property on Thursday evening.
The Devon Street slip has also blocked off a walkway to Victoria University.
In the lower North Island on Friday, MetService is warning of strong southerlies. The strongest winds are expected in Wellington and coastal parts of Hawke's Bay and Gisborne until Friday night.
