A man has died after crashing into a building in Otara on Wednesday afternoon, and it's possible it was caused by a medical event.
Police say they pursued the man after he failed to stop at an intersection at about 2:20pm, and he crashed into the building a short time later.
The man died at the scene and Auckland Police inspector Shawn Rutene said it's possible he suffered a medical event. The investigation is at an early stage and a number of enquiries need to take place before the cause can be determined.
No one else was injured in the crash.
