One person is dead after being thrown from their vehicle in a head-on crash in Waikato.
Two others have been seriously injured and a fourth moderately injured, a police spokesperson told Newshub.
State Highway 1 is closed and diversions are in place at Humphrey Road and State Highway 30.
Two helicopters are currently at the scene.
