Two people have died and one person is seriously injured after a two-car crash in South Canterbury on Monday evening.
The crash occurred just after 5:15pm on SH8 between Hayman Rd and Tekapo Canal Rd.
The road is closed and the serious crash unit is investigating.
Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash or saw a silver 2017 Toyota Highlander travelling north on SH8 before the crash.
