A man has been arrested following a standoff at a house near Westport.
Armed police surrounded the house after a man threatened to shoot an officer attending a domestic violence.
Police arrived shortly after 4:30pm, and the man was arrested just before 10pm "without incident".
The woman who called police managed to escape the building earlier.
