Big Buddy CEO Richard Aston steps down after 15 years

Twenty years ago, the Big Buddy programme began with the lofty vision of changing the lives of fatherless boys in New Zealand.

The social agency has provided mentors to more than 720 kids without a father figure.

Now the 'biggest' buddy of them all is moving on. CEO Richard Aston steps down Thursday after 15 years at the helm.

He's passing the torch to Paul Burns.

Both of them spoke to Duncan Garner.
