A toddler in Opotiki, Bay of Plenty has been hospitalised after accidentally pulling a pot of boiling oil over himself.
The three-year-old suffered serious burns to his face and upper body after the accident at around 1pm on Sunday.
He and his mother were taken to Waikato Hospital by a rescue helicopter, where he's getting specialist treatment.
