Two people have been charged following the robbery of a store in Murupara.
At approximately 8am on Sunday, staff were threatened with a hammer and assaulted, and cash was stolen.
There were no injuries, but Bay of Plenty police say staff of the Pine Drive store are receiving support.
A 28-year-old man has been charged with theft and assault, and a 19-year-old woman has been charged with theft.
They are both due to appear in Rotorua District Court on Tuesday.
