An eight-year-old girl has been killed after being hit by a truck while cycling through Inglewood in Taranaki.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Miro St and Rata St on State Highway 3 at around 3:30pm on Wednesday.
The road remains closed and diversions are in place. The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
Police are providing support to the young girl's family.
