A Taupo dairy has been flooded with hopeful customers after revealing Saturday night's $30 million winning Lotto ticket was sold there.

The winning ticket was sold at Richmond Superette in Taupo.

Store manager Jessica said they can't believe that they sold the winning ticket, and they're now eagerly awaiting the winner.

"We are very excited too, waiting for the winning one to come to collect the big prize," she told Newshub.

It's the first time that the Richmond Superette has sold a large Lotto winning ticket. Before today their biggest win has been an Instant Kiwi and some smaller Lotto prizes.
