A 24-year-old man is to go on trial for the murder of a man in west Auckland last year.

Michael Tristan Ford is accused of fatally stabbing Ronald Clayton Karipa, 42, in the suburb of Glendene in October.

The trial, before Justice Gerard van Bohemen, starts in the High Court at Auckland on Monday and is expected to last two weeks.
