Hoodie-wearing youths hit Gore dairy

Three young men wearing balaclavas and hoodies violently tried to rob a dairy in Gore on Thursday night.

The trio entered the store on Coutts Rd about 7:30pm, one of them armed with a machete.

After a brief struggle with the shop attendant, who had his hand cut, they escaped via Lock and Irving streets.

One was wearing a light-green hoodie, the others dark.
