Three blazes have kept firefighters across the South Island busy overnight, with one person injured.
A woman was taken to Christchurch Hospital with moderate injuries after a house fire on Rodgers St in Sydenham, just after 2am on Friday.
Half-an-hour later a small fire broke out on the second floor of a factory on Blenheim Rd.
A fire crew attended, but the building's sprinkler system had dealt with the worst of the blaze.
