Two lucky winners share $38 million Lotto jackpot

The numbers for the second biggest Powerball prize in New Zealand history have been drawn.

The numbers drawn were 12, 8, 5, 36, 28, 18 and the bonus ball was 40.

The Powerball number was 5.

There were two winners from Wednesday night's Powerball First Division draw, each winning just over $19 million.

The two winning tickets were sold at New World Warkworth in Warkworth and Fresh Choice Greytown in Greytown. 

Four other Lotto players from Auckland, Whakatane, Wellington, and Invercargill each won $166,667 with Lotto First Division.

The four tickets were sold at Halfway Store in Whakatane, Te Aro Night n Day in Wellington, Windsor New World in Invercargill and on MyLotto to a player from Auckland.

Wednesday's Powerball prize was worth $38 million, just $6 million less than the biggest Powerball draw of all time.
