A truck carrying seafood is wedged under the canopy of a Z service station forecourt.

The driver crashed into the roof of the service station forecourt on Carters Rd in Amberley, north Canterbury.

Zoe Topp, owner of the neighbouring Top Stop cafe that shares the Z carpark, says it appears the driver misjudged the height of the canopy.

The vehicle, now carrying rapidly defrosting seafood, is being left where it is to prevent the canopy from collapsing.

Ms Topp says the same incident has happened before - the previous culprit was her father.
