A man has been killed following a Jet Ski accident on the Waimakariri River.
Police say they were called to Kairaki Beach around 1:20pm after a man on a Jet Ski was found to be in trouble on the water.
Surf lifesavers and the Coastguard helped to rescue the man. He was brought to shore by helicopter.
He later died in hospital.
