Second teen charged with murder of Hawke's Bay man

A second teenager has been charged with the murder of a man whose body was found on the side of the road in Hawke's Bay on Monday.

The 17-year-old girl was arrested on Friday morning and is due to appear in court later in the day.

It comes after the arrest of a 17-year-old boy on Monday, who was also charged with murder.

He was granted name suppression when he appeared in court that day, where he didn't enter a plea.

The man's body was found on the side of Matahorua Rd, Tutira, at around 9:30am on Monday.

On Friday, Detective Inspector Mike Foster said police are still trying to track down a vehicle seen in the area.

"I am still appealing to the public for any sightings of a gold Toyota Passo - registration JGQ144 - which was driven between Hastings and Tutira on Sunday evening and around the Hawke’s Bay area throughout Monday," he said.
