Waikato police showcase talents with 'CopCar Karaoke'

Whoever's handling NZ Police's marketing right now is certainly earning their money.

Just a week after its latest recruitment video wowed the world, Waikato police have showcased their talents with their own version of James Corden's 'Carpool Karaoke', entitled 'CopCar Karaoke'.

It's a lip-syncing performance featuring sworn and non-sworn staff from the Hamilton Central Police Station, delivering their own version of Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas.

Fronted by Constable Jack Driver, who plays (appropriately enough) the driver, the four-minute video features some handy safety tips - all participants were required to buckle up first.

In a week when Waikato Police were told to cut back on ticketing and concentrate on changing bad behaviour, they have also shown creative ways of delivering their message...

"We want you here for Christmas."
