Bay of Plenty Police are responding after a body was found on Papamoa Beach, Tauranga on Tuesday morning.
The body was found near Hartford Avenue at Harrisons Cut and reported to Police shortly after 7:30am.
Cordons are in place and Police are continuing to investigate.
