Police have released the name of the cyclist killed in a crash with another vehicle in Hastings on Wednesday.
He was 70-year-old Ted Tamai from Hastings.
Mr Tamai died at the scene of the accident, where he was reportedly hit by a car at the intersection of Omahu Road and State Highway 50A, in the suburb of Frimley.
A serious crash unit investigation into the accident is continuing.
