A 14-year-old has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition, after being hit by a car at Auckland's Red Beach.
Emergency services were called to Millwater Parkway, near Kingsway School and Silverdale Primary School, just after 4pm.
It comes just after seven people, including children, were hospitalised in Northland, after a two-car crash in Hikurangi.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
