Concerns for a missing Alexandra man are heightening, as a week passes since his last sighting.
Christopher Bates was last seen in a Z petrol station a week ago, and police have grave concerns for the 22-year-old.
Search teams have scoured Wakatipu and central Otago assisted by a dog team, but there's been no sign of him.
Police say his bank account and phone haven't been touched since he was last seen.
He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, white T-shirt, dark shorts and sneakers. Mr Bates is slim, about 180cm tall, with short to medium length brown hair and brown eyes.
