There's been an ammonia leak at Tegel Foods in Taranaki.
Eight fire trucks and four support units responded to the incident in Bell Block, New Plymouth at 2:15am Sunday.
A Fire and Emergency spokesperson told Newshub the gas leak has been isolated and is now contained.
No one was injured, but police did ask nearby residents to remain indoors during the incident.
